Paula’s Carnegie Hall debut with Matt Small’s Chamber Ensemble was a huge success and an event that will never be forgotten. They have just finished their debut CD recording project and are currently in the process of recording another album. Please see Matt Small for details.

Another recording project has finally seen the light of day. After four years, Chus Alonso has released Flamenco Cat played by the group Potaje. They had a very successful CD release party in October and have received rave reviews about the album. Listen here for a Review of Flamenco Cat on KQED Radio

2009 has been an exciting year, as it brought some new opportunities such as performing with the Santa Rosa, Monterey, and Marin Symponies. Another highlight is being a member of the band in the longest running musical in theater history- San Francisco’s own Beach Blanket Babylon. Come and check it out on any Wednesday or Sunday to hear Paula play.

Instead of pursuing musical endeavors last summer, Paula ventured out to Tulum, Mexico to do a yoga teaching certification. This has been a long time dream and she feels very fortunate to have that experience. She is developing a workshop called “Yoga for Musicians’, as she found many parallels between the two worlds.

Paula has decided to pursue the world of self-publishing for her book “For the Aspiring Pianist…” after having some interesting experiences with publishing companies. You can see some of Paula’s pieces published in the new Taubman book Basic Alignment and Rotation and the class piano book Pianolab.
